NEUROLOGICAL CONDITIONS

Neuropsychologists are involved in the assessment and rehabilitation of many neurological conditions. In Chapter 7 of her book on neuropsychological assessment, Muriel Lezak (1995) discussed the following conditions.:

Head trauma

Degenerative disorders

Cortical dementias

Subcortical dementias

Other Progressive Disorders of the CNS in which neuropsychological effects may be prominent.

Neoplasms

Oxygen Deprivation

Metabolic and Endocrine Disorders

Nutritional Deficiency
